Winter tyres are recommended for use when the average daily temperature is below 6-8 degrees in Celsius. Then winter tyres are more efficient than summer tires. According to the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, cars up to 3.5 tons must drive with winter tyres from November 10th. until April 1st. Winter tyres must be marked with - Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake 3PMSF. M+S does not mean that tyres is for winter conditions. M+S means that the tyre design is suitable for driving not only on asphalt but also on uneven ground like gravel road.
